Current Invitations

Current Invitations:

  • Join My Kitchen Garden Project | Pakistan. A grassroots movement for promoting kitchen gardening in homes across Pakistan, and to link kitchen gardeners with others in their communities. This Facebook group is led by Ms. Salma Kamal in Islamabad, and is originally a project of The Changemakers Hub.
  • Start your own Oneness Breakfast. These are gathering that bring families, friends, neighbors, colleagues, co-workers, team members, and online friends together to experience oneness, develop benevolent character, and encourage action. This is the project that gave birth to The Changemakers Hub. (Website in development.)
  • Join Pakistan Sustainability Network. Participate in environmental and sustainability-related work in Pakistan. Several projects are operated under the PSN umbrella, both for skilled environmentalists, and for citizens.
Further projects that align with the spirit of The Changemakers Hub will be added over time. Projects we are interested in featuring:

  • Self-organizing, Self-perpetuating — where applicable.
  • Community-centric/ Serve local needs/ Promote good neighborliness
  • Reward, and not use, participants. Because this is about Inside Change as well as Outside Change. We don’t ask our readers to sacrifice themselves. No sacrifices here, no charities. Only co-creation by mature individuals.
  • Do not serve any single interest.
  • Long-term, ‘alive’. (Short, periodic campaigns are currently not featured, because we do not have time to update the website for those.)
  • Copy-able. We want people who access this website to be inspired by the projects, and take immediate action — either by joining the projects, or replicating them in their own lives and communities. In that sense, we like projects that are ideas that can be copied on small to large scales. For example, “Give your Stuff Away” bazaars will find a place here.
  • Nothing corporate is featured. Community-run businesses may find a place.
  • Leaderless, grassroots movements with sensibility.
  • Come to us through a reliable reference. No cold-calling from the Interwebs! Why? Because we believe in substituting expensive or time-consuming checks & balances with good old neighborly reputation. This limits the projects that we will/ can list, but it does create an ethic, we hope, that others can replicate in their lives.
