Some Questions

Answering your possible questions about The Changemakers Academy

How long does it take to do the course?

As long as you would. The going through is what is worth it. Go gently, listen to your own heart. Resting is part of ‘doing’ the course.

What is the outcome of this course?

In truth, the outcomes depend upon the course participant (you). Read this to know what the course can offer. The course possibly reorients you to your own life — but that depends upon your effort and sincerity. Also, it must be said, that the usefulness of this course to you depends upon whether this is the most suitable path for you: it may or may not be.

What is the practical application of this course?

Find that out.

Who teaches/ writes this course? What is their qualification?

This course is written by Ramla Akhtar, a writer and artist. More can be explored here. Ramla does not have any formal initiation into any method of teaching. She writes this course because it simply occurs to her to do so. You are invited to keep your mind open, and honor your belief or skepticism. However, neither your belief or skepticism can be the writer’s problem. You must own your own state — that is the condition of our engagement. The course is offered on the basis of good intent, as is. As a rule of thumb: Beware of both your belief, as well as skepticism. Ramla invites you to neither necessarily be a skeptic, nor a believer. Just be, and take it from there.

What other support is available?

No support beyond this course as presented on this website is offered at this point. If any related avenues are made available, they will be communicated here. Keep in touch.

A note to whom it may concern: Ramla (or The Changemakers Hub) does not offer charity, or help you get something — such as jobs, etc. — from herself or someone else. She will not give or write a recommendation, nor endorse any party (family, friends, or strangers), or consider any issues beyond the range of these teachings. Currently, no personal support is possible by the writer, and hence it’s neither promised nor granted.

Where can I go for further inquiry?

For now, this website is all that Changemakers Hub can offer. The Inspiration section may offer more leads. Enjoy!

What if I have more questions?

If you mean you have a query about the presentation of the course or The Changemakers Hub, then all that is offered at this point is the website. Additional support or explanation for users is not possible, given limitations of time & energy.

If you are a member of media or a teacher yourself, and you wish to partner or promote this in some way, please write to changemakers.pk[at]gmail.com, and we’ll take it from there.

If you mean you have questions that arise from your personal journey, then at this time, a channel is not available to take or answer the questions. I (course writer) hope to make one available over time. My preference, however, is that such questions are taken through live interaction rather than over email.

There is another aspect: this course or your journey is not about getting questions answered, and especially not about developing a habit of making up (intellectual) questions, and then seeking answers from spoken or written words alone. Which does not mean that there will be no questions. It means that the truest answers arise from your own life — or rather, your life is the answer. If one is in the habit of thinking up too many questions, it may point to a non-acceptance of reality. This is distinct from genuine curiosity. Your life is the answer to your genuine curiosity, which is your impulse to learn and evolve.

You may want to use a journal to become aware of your questions. Put whatever question or impulse arises, in your journal. Then let the answer come. Understand that you are the question, and the answer. When you fully understand that, ‘the question’ begins to disappear. It may be replaced with: “I know how.”

Don’t worry if you don’t understand what this means, and don’t pretend that you do.

Note: A Guide to Questions (of the journey kind) may be shared here. It will not answer specific, situational questions. Rather, it will enable you to see the distinction between real curiosity, and questions which are actually a form of resistance to knowledge.

Whew — where do I start??

The Curriculum is a good point to start. Read through it, pick whatever you’d like to explore, and then take it from there. What you will need to keep on returning to are Fundamental Teachings within the curriculum. They are the three-dimensional cornerstone — and a measure against which everything else is measured. If your personal practice doesn’t match up to all three aspects (Attention, Intention, Practice) at once, you will need to work at this. This may initially take struggle. In time, this isn’t about struggle, because you will discover that this is natural, and you’re only rediscovering this, rather than making it. You don’t have to make this — you can’t.

To help you, tools are made available. Make use of them. However, never lose sight of this: this all depends upon you. It is about you, and from you. You employ the teaching — the teaching does not employ you. (What the teaching teaches about does employ you.)

How will I know I’m done?

You’ll know that you’re done.
